What I’ve Learned.

Happy Monday everyone.  As I am sitting writing this post on a relaxing Sunday night, I realized there was one topic I haven’t yet talked about on my site, and one that is so important to me and how I go about my everyday life.

As I continue to grow up, I see more and more, how much I am changing and evolving as a human being.  I find it so interesting to look back just a few months ago and see a totally different person standing before me.  From my interests to my perspective on life, I thought it was important enough a topic to discuss in my blog post today.

What I’ve Learned;

Do more of what makes YOU happy.

Growing up, time and time again I remember getting myself into situations or involved with friends who really didn’t help me grow/evolve as a person.  I never got to grasp who I was because I was always so worried about liking what everyone else liked.  I have done a complete 180 in this part of my life and ever since I have noticed, I wasn’t the only one who did this.  I see it everyday, people going places, doing things that is great for the Instagram post, or to stay friends with your “friends”.  I have never felt better as a person after finally discovering who I am (and I am still continuing to do so).  It has helped me find who I want in my life, and what I want to persue.

 You don’t have to have it all figured out.

This is one I am still beginning to grasp everyday.  I am the type of person who likes to know the plans, what’s going on, what my future will look like.  Since starting University, I have let this characteristic of mine, continue to grow.  I finally have just started to realize how unhealthy it is to live this way.  If you do not know what you want to do with your life… that is okay!!  I am not only telling you the reader this, but myself as well when I go back to read this one day.  Just live more in the moment and take it all in and your plan will come to you all on it’s own.

Money is a thing too.

In my teens all the way up to today, I have bought things that I have no use for.  I always joke that if I could travel the world, back to the places I have already been to I probably wouldn’t have bought anything similar to what I bought three years ago.  I am such an impulsive person when it comes to buying things I want.  2018 has really began to help me see how important it is to actually think before doing.  It sounds simple enough, but something I had (and still do have) trouble with today.  I have to stop and think (is this something I only want for a few days? Can I actually put this to good use?).  Budgetting and planning for my future is something I have really begun to grasp and understand more and more clearly as I have gotten older.

These are three of the things I have learned in the last few months and years.  It is certainly no where close to all that I have learned and all three are things I am still continuing to work on everyday.  Being able to write this blog is almost helping my learning process by being a stepping stone I can look back to and see how far I have come.  Set goals for yourself, go and do some reflecting, it can only help you and the results, life changing.
