I’m Back!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

My spring semester has come to an end and that means… summer!  Now that I am out of school I am looking forward to posting more reguarly and sharing new content with you all.  For my first Summer 2018 post I want to share with you all some of my goals for this upcomming season.  Similarly to New Years Resolutions, I like to come up with a “game plan” for the summer in hopes that the sunshine and beach days will motivate me to get back on track.

Goals;

  1. Be healthier, on the inside and outside.

This is always my biggest goal every summer.  I always try to focus more on how I can not only be physically healthier, but mentally as well.  As I have mentioned in previous posts, meditation is something that has really opened my eyes and made changes to my everyday life.  I try to take at least ten minutes every morning to sit, relax, and detox my mind.  Physically, I make a workout plan and in doing this motivate myself to stick with it.  I tell myself that I will workout each morning.  If one morning I possibly get busy or can’t make it, I won’t feel as guilty missing it knowing I have worked out the prior three days.  I also try and go on walks and bike rides after meals.  This way I can work off the meal I just ate.  Finally I enjoy eating clean.  From different health shots to drinking tea every night, I have personally seen a difference in not only my physical apperance, but my skin, and attitude as well.

2.   Do more things you enjoy!

While this may sound a bit obvious, I always look back on my summers and feel, parts have been wasted doing things that really don’t matter.  Personally, I am looking to cut back on the time I spend watching TV, Youtube, etc. and am excited to do more things I really find enjoyment in in the long run (not short-term happiness).  I am planning on reading (ALOT… I will be making a post about), practicing my artistic skills, exploring places I have never been to, and so much more.  Today marks my first day of summer and I am pleased to say I have incorporated some of these and am already off to a good start.

3.   Learn something.

This last goal is very important to me.  I find my generation is in an age where we know so little.  There is a whole world out there to explore and discover and I am devoted this summer to really grasping life!  I plan to try things I have never tried before, learn about the world we live in, and soak it all up.  It is clearly been stated in numerous posts my love for reading but that is by no means the only way to find information.  Expierence and stepping out of your comfort zone are important aspects as well.

I hope you all enjoyed this summer post.  I do apoligize for the choppy schedule over the past couple of months but can assure you this summer is the summer of SheBeShe, and I will make it up to you.
