Happy Wednesday everyone. Today in the spirit of being back at University, I felt it was only appropriate to stick a more educational theme. I have taken many varieties of classes throughout my years and I have had a completely independent expierence in each. Something I decided I would accomplish once in my higher education journey, was to take something, anything from each class I partook in. Whether it be new facts to share to friends and family, or a new outlook on the world we live in. I see time and again, fellow students in some of my classes, in the class, but only by physical means. I find it such a disservice to have an education at your finger tips with no means of obtaining the information.
My generation, and the one after me in particular are the “kids of the future”. We have so much at stake and I find education is one of the most important means by which we can make a difference. I wouldn’t say I have tips and tricks for this post, more ideas to keep in mind if you are in my situation, or know people who are where you can step in;
- Remember the power of you. This is so often forgotten, yet so critical. You and you alone have a voice and once the world can hear it, they will thank you.
- Stand up for what you believe in. This to me, could be the most difficult especially for people in my age gap. While we are continuously seeing more strides of activism and courage, there can never be to much.
- Smile. The world needs a little more of it.
To tie it all around to schooling and our education, never stop. Whether you are in a classroom, traveling, or at a business conference, learn just one thing. Everyday.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” -Nelson Mandela.
