Makin it quick on Monday’s!

Happy Monday friends! Today I want to share with you one of my recently discovered favorite waffle recipes. Lately I have been feeling pretty lazy when it comes to eating breakfast, yet I still want to get something good and healthy into my body. The recipe I created is super healthy and actually tastes as good as it looks.

Blueberry Waffles:

First, I picked up some frozen blueberry waffle’s from Trader Joe’s. These waffles have minimal ingredients and no added sugar. Usually I have two but today I wasn’t feeling too hungry so I just stuck to one.  I throw them in the toaster for about 4 minutes and voilà!

Next, I add the agave. This one is from Trader Joe’s as well and is by far the best substitution for maple syrup. Agave is known as being a natural sweetener that you can add to smoothies, oatmeal, and now waffles!

Finally, I top off my waffle with some fresh fruit. Lately I have really been enjoying peaches. I think the combo of the blueberries and peaches plus agave tastes really good together… not to sweet, just right for a breakfast meal!

That’s it folks. It is really that simple. Making homemade waffles on your own is also a super healthy and awesome choice, I just wanted to show you all what I actually will eat on a day-to-day basis that is quick and still very healthy!
